While I am not an accountant, I like to learn about taxes in Canada. This is because it allows me to better properly plan my financial life. I recognize many of us in the medical community shy away from learning about taxes that impact us. It is not in our best interest. It is essential to understand taxes well.

Many physicians I know have lots of great ideas and passion. Very few of us know how to convert these ideas and passion into reality. There are many explanations for this and I believe mindset is the major obstacle. Second is fear. Third is the lack of know-how.
